LOCAL Lib Dems have attended the recent coffee morning fundraiser organised by FOHP. Speaking on Friday, Lib Dem parliamentary campaigner, Nick Perry, said,

"This was a really good event, attended by
representatives from all the three political parties.
It might be possible to infer from the article in the
Observer that Liberal Democrats were not present at
the fundraiser and that we are not right behind the
Friends of Hastings Pier. Nothing could be further
than the truth!

" I attended along with Honarary Freeman Pam Brown and
Castle Ward councillor Paul Smith. In my discussions
with Felix Robinson on Tuesday, I was particularly
keen to talk about how the FOHP are going to engage
the young people of the area, harness their ideas and
creativity, and enable them to have a stake in the
future of the pier.

"I believe Felix is committed to this happening and I
personally wish him and the FOHP all the very best in
their endeavours."
