Local Liberal Democrats have sent their congratulations to Hastings sixth formers who have done the town proud with their A level results this week.
The Observer reported on 17 August that over 98% of pupils at William Parker and Helenswood sixth forms passed the exams that they took.
Lib Dem Leader Cllr Richard Stevens said,
‘ Hastings people may have forgotten, but it was the Liberal Democrats who stuck out against the closure of local sixth forms. Whilst we are glad to see that Hastings will be having much-needed investment come in to education facilities over the next two years, we want to send special congratulations to those pupils who have done so well this year.'
